Layer Push Up ( Drawing Editor )

Tool summary :

  • Moves your current drawing's active layer up one position in the layer stack.
  • A drawing's active layer is the layer that is currently selected on the layer selection tool . If the selected layer is already on top, then Layer Push Up does nothing.
  • Layers on drawings are Plotted in order. The bottom layer is plotted first. The top layer is plotted last. It is generally desirable to place opaque objects such as objects with a hatch or fill on lower layers.
  • For example, if a label is on a layer that is below the layer that has an image is on, you might want to move the label's layer up so that it will print above the image.
  • An alternative way to push up a layer is to select it on the Edit Layers window, then press the " Move Up " button.
  • See the step-by-step instructions .
